LMT Best Paper by Anja Hanzi
LMT2009 saw the creation and presentation of the series first best paper award.  The award was created in honour of LMT creator David StJohn and will be known as the International Light Metals Technology  David StJohn Award for Best Paper.  The Best Paper for 2009, as selected by the editors of the LMT conference proceedings, was by Anja Hanzi and co-authors Alla Sologubenko and Peter Uggowitzer from ETH Zurich.  The paper is titled, "Design strategy for microalloyed ultra-ductile magnesium alloys for medical applications" (check out page 75 of the LMT conference proceedings, also available online via Materials Science Forum (http://www.scientific.net/MSF/).
